Good day. What a smashing start! The weasel evolves very well. Thanks to all the people who have sent feedback, suggestions, bugs and even packages -- have a look at the sidebar.
At this point just a few answers without questions:
- Yes, the weasel will be dockable at any side of the screen.
- Yes, on some systems there are problems when running the weasel with metacity as WM. Investigation in progress.
- Yes, we encourage you to pet your weasel from time to time.
Thanks for reading & enjoy the weasel.

Posted by thoenig at March 31, 2004 09:54 PMI just installed the weasel on debian sid on ppc-linux. After starting XMMS I get some messages from weasel which tell that everything seems to went in the right way, but it does not work at all.
I am using fluxbox and wmaker as wm.

Florian
Killer tiny app, compiled and worked perfectly on my slackware 9.1...just one question, any plans to release a version for Beep (GTK+2 version of xmms)?
Posted by: ghostman at April 16, 2004 04:19 PMKick-ass plugin. Just tried it and positively loved it. Congratulations!
Btw, would you consider such a plugin for gkrellm? It'd be killer.
Posted by: Nuno Monteiro at May 10, 2004 06:13 PMI don't see anything on this page that says what xmms-weasel is. What is it?
Steve,
This is the development blog.
See the Sourceforge summary project page and the video:

Really great plugin.
But it's bad, that equalizer does not disappear together with the main window and playlist.

Posted by: dominic at November 23, 2004 01:15 PMWell, it appears that the weasel is dead...
Posted by: Darren at December 14, 2004 09:41 PMNo.. Just it is just having its winter sleep. I am sure you find understanding for that. Poor little thing ;)
To be honst, we're both short on time at the moment. Thats all. New weasel early next year.

Posted by: progster at January 8, 2005 06:56 PMI've figured out how to reliably trigger the problem with XMMS Weasel and Metacity.
Just keep your mouse over the playlist after having clicked one of the buttons like "Sub" and it will try to slide it back down without cancelling the upward slide that's already in progress.
...and I'd like to throw in my vote for a sideways slide and equalizer movement support.
Great plugin.

Posted by: MaoP at June 25, 2005 11:18 PMI have the same question as MaoP, seems like nothing happends for over a year. About the plugin? It's great, it's kind a hard to find (couldn't remenber the name...), i think it would be great to see this nice plugin listed in XMMS's page.
